Viktor Schauberger describes the hydrologic cycle as a half hydrologic cycle, in areas where most of the trees and bushes have been cut down or otherwise  removed. SEE HIS VIDEO HERE

He stresses the importance of the trees as a critical part of the evapotranspiration process, which he says is a critical part of the full hydrologic cycle. When alive, he urged humans to plant billions more trees.

As a part of the hydrologic cycle the rain water (described as precipitation above) moves back to the sea by way of rivers and the like (described as runoff above), some settles in lakes for a time, some supplies the trees and vegetation on earth's surface with much needed hydration, and some makes its way back into the earth, to both groundwater and unconfined and confined aquifers (described as infiltration above).

For rain water to infiltrate the ground, sinking (or rather naturally drilling itself ) downwards to depths of maybe 50 to 1000 metres, it simply has to be acidic- and it is. See more about this on web page about Rain Water HERE

The above diagram does not demonstrate the importance of groundwater as a critical part of the hydrologic cycle and the provision (by return upward water movements) of non-acidic drinking water (by example, by way of springs) to earth's surface.

Nor does the above diagram introduce the additions to earth's atmosphere (and then land) of 'Rain Water From Space'.

Our sketch above introduces the concept of some rain coming to earth from the cosmos-space. This term Cosmic Hydrologic Cycle is ours, and we introduce it to viewers --- the idea and name forming, perhaps, from the spring water we drink. Our spring comes from a contained aquifer, deep in earth --- also called a natural artesian aquifer/spring. Our spring water may not have seen the light of day/earth's surface for hundreds or thousands of years, thus avoiding the recent 200 years of mass pollution to earth's surface.

The substance of this cosmic or space-rain idea comes from a book written by Dr Masaru Emoto,  called 'The Message from Water' (see our book page HERE). Dr Emoto refers to the May 1997 news from NASA, which stated:

"We observed for the first time a snowball-shaped microscopic heavenly bodies flying in numerous numbers toward the stratosphere of earth from space. These snowballs are deemed to be heavenly bodies each similar to a small comet, each with a diameter of about a dozen metres. About a few thousand of them come flying daily, but as they come near the earth surface they decompose and become part of a cloud."

Similar research was announced by an astronomical observatory at the University of Hawaii in August of 1997.

Dr Emoto added his interpretation and thoughts to this new found scientific discovery. He called it 'Rain From Space' and asked the question:

"If this space 'rain' comes falling on earth from space every day, it may aggregate to be only a small quantity over one year --- but if this has been going on from about 4.6 billion years (since the estimated origin of earth), then would this not be large enough to be the source of all of earth's oceans? Furthermore this 'rain from space' contains organic substances and this indeed must be the origin of the birth of life. ...If the origin of water on earth is from space, it is no wonder that its questions cannot be solved by the scientific powers that we have on earth.... By researching water more deeply we may be able to understand more about space."

“ Did we but truly understand the essential nature of water - a living substance - we would not treat it so churlishly, but would care for it as if our lives depended on it, which undoubtedly they do. Water is a being that has life and death. With incorrect, ignorant handling, it becomes diseased, imparting this condition to all other organisms, vegetable, animal and human alike, causing their eventual physical decay and
death. “
